On most Sunday mornings at our 10.30am Mass, we have a Children's Liturgy, when the children have their own readings, songs, art activities etc. all designed to present the Gospel in an age appropriate way. The children then rejoin the rest of their families at the Preparation of the Altar & Gifts (sometimes referred to as the Offertory Procession). This is open to all children who would like to attend, not just those who are regular church-goers or in our schools.
Once a month we have our Family Mass instead of Children's Liturgy when the whole local body of Christ will worship together. This could be thought of as an all-age Mass where the Scriptures, prayers and music are led by one or both of our schools.
N.B. The children are accompanied at all times by suitable adult leaders who have full DBS checks.
As a church we also have excellent links with our two parish schools and also with the local Catholic Secondary College here in Cannock. As a result, there are lots of activities in the parish that are centered around them and organised by the schools themselves.
