Absolutely not. You are very welcome to join us for any of our Masses whatever your background. All we ask is that if you are not a Catholic that you kindly refrain from receiving the Eucharist at the time of Holy Communion during Mass. As Roman Catholics we believe that Jesus Christ is truly present, body, blood, soul and divinity in the form of bread and wine, and therefore only those who share this belief i.e. Roman Catholics & our brothers and sisters in certain Eastern churches can receive in this way. We pray alongside the whole of the Christian Faith for the day when full communion can be restored.
This teaching also applies to Roman Catholics who, for whatever reason, are not in a state of grace (in 'right' relationship with God).

If you are not a Catholic and would like to receive a blessing, simply place your right hand/arm across your chest diagonally to indicate your desire to receive this special blessing when you come to Mass.
